Young Bandmaster Grant application - MBA
Summer Convention

The Board of Directors of MBA is seeking to encourage young band directors in pursuing excellence in the field of instrumental music education. To that end, an annual grant to help defray costs of the MBA Summer Convention will be made available for up to five applicants who are in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of teaching. The award will cover convention registration and up to three nights lodging. Application deadline is March 1. Upon review of the applications, the Board of Directors will award up to five recipients.

Grants will be awarded to current MBA members with 1, 2, or 3 years of experience in the field of instrumental wind/percussion music education whose professionalism is of exceptional quality and deserving of merit. The award will cover the registration fee and one night’s lodging at the MBA Summer Convention.

Complete and submit this application. Also send two letters of recommendation.
