Uprise Photography Series Application
**NOTE: The dates for April and May have changed. The new dates are 4/16 and 5/21.

Uprise Photography Series is a program that aims to ignite curiosity and change the way we experience art and our community. The Imagine Butte Resource Center in collaboration with Youth Dynamics, INC invites Butte youth to participate in this series of six free workshops, each focusing on a different theme or skill set. The classes include:

[2/27] Explore Uptown Photo Scavenger Hunt: vantage point and elements of design photo day

[3/26] Hockney Project: photo collage creation of a favorite Butte location

[4/16] Where I am From Poem: found word poem creation with collage, painting, drawing project

[5/21] Inside Out Photo Day: Taking Photos for Collaborative Public Art Installation (which will debut before Montana Folk Festival)

[6/25] Documentary Photo Essay + Public Art Installation Day (putting up the prints !)

[7/30] Gallery Installation and One-Night Gallery Opening at the Foreground Gallery in the IBRC.

NOTE: Each class will be split into a morning session for ages 8-12 and an afternoon session for ages 13-18. The morning session will be from 10am-12pm and the afternoon session will be from 2pm-4pm.
