Become a citizen scientist to heal Utah Lake
Human survival depends on access to clean water, but every year we pollute freshwater ecosystems with hundreds of millions of tons of fertilizers. Help solve water pollution on the Wasatch Front by becoming a citizen scientist and participating in our project Summer 2018 (exact date TBD). Join BYU students and faculty to help sample 400 sites in the Provo River and Spanish Fork watersheds. We will analyze samples to identify sources of pollution and potential solutions. Participants will be given water quality kits and asked to collect one or more water samples at sites near their homes or throughout the river networks. Sign up below and we will contact you with details in the coming weeks. Email Ben Abbott with any questions (benabbott@byu.edu)
