We have a tech problem. We need a societal solution. More important than changing tech is changing the process with how technology is developed and deployed. All Tech Is Human acts as the pulse of the movement towards more thoughtful tech, attracting an eclectic mix of technologists, academics, advocates, org leaders, artists, students, policymakers, and designers. We believe in taking a broad, inclusive, and multidisciplinary approach that puts the people impacted by tech first. If you are comfortable diving into messy politics of technology, this is your jam.

Let's co-create a more thoughtful future towards technology! This event is an engaging and highly interactive mix of lightning talks, panel conversations, a strategy session, and intentional networking.

The ethical tech summit is proudly supported by the Tech and Society Solutions Lab at Omidyar Network, with hosting & planning provided by ThoughtWorks. The Tech and Society Solutions Lab at Omidyar Network is supporting four events for All Tech Is Human in various locations (Seattle, San Fran, New York) in 2019. After San Francisco, we have All Tech Is Human: NYC (Sat, Nov 9th).

We have the ambitious aim of changing the process of how technology is developed and deployed. All Tech Is Human is evolving as a hub for the thoughtful tech community; our events provide crucial collaboration between organizations, industry, researchers, advocates, and others. In addition, we are gaining important insight into the ideas, projects, people, and concerns that should be considered when developing and deploying technology. We are expanding to offer toolkits, videos, and other helpful resources.

All Tech Is Human is aimed directly at increasing the participation from all sectors of society into the process of tech. We view "technology" as synonymous with "society," and thereby making it essential that everyone--since we're all significantly impacted--has a voice in the process.
