Recreation & Tourism with the San Carlos Apache Tribe

For the August Sonoran Insiders event we have the opportunity to learn about responsible recreation and tourism on tribal lands with the San Carlos Apache Tribe.

This event will be held Saturday, August 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Hoffman Administration Building (Building 3, San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos, AZ 85550).

Friends and family are welcome, please submit an RSVP for each person.

Schedule

  • Arrive at the Mitchell Hoffman Administration Building (Building 3, San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos, AZ 85550) no later than 9:50 a.m. We will hear from Christy Sangster-Begay on the do’s and don’ts of responsible recreation on tribal lands.
  • After the talk, you have the opportunity to visit and recreate on San Carlos Apache tribal lands. Recreation permits are required, and are $10. Permits can be obtained from the Wildlife and Recreation Office before or after the talk. The Wildlife and Recreation office is located at US-70 S E Geronimo Dr, Arizona 85542.

  • The roads to the Mitchell Hoffman Administration Building and the Wildlife and Recreation Office are accessible by passenger car. No all-terrain or 4WD needed.
