About You- You have at least 1-2 years of EA/Office Management Experience- You have worked in a startup environment before- You are extremely detail oriented and organized -- you work on multiple things at once not because you have to, but because you don't know any other way to work- You want to work in an environment that takes a people-first approach; values humility, integrity and ambition; and is focused on creating a culture that keeps people happy and challenged- You are comfortable with ambiguity and are proactive by nature- You’re amazing with project management- You're good with computers and the interwebs- You thrive on saving money and finding discounts- You live in Chicago (or are willing to move)!
About the RoleWe spent 2 years building Tovala and finally launched in July. Our team has grown fast and is in need of someone to help us stay organized and on top of things. Every team member is responsible for a handful of things that keep the office running. We're looking for someone to take that off of everyone's plate - and enhance the strong Tovala culture we've built.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
First face of the company to all visitorsMaintain calendar with new hire start dates and holidaysCreate, plan and organize Tovala team eventsHelp experiential marketing team with eventsOversee move to new, larger officeCoordinate weekly team lunchManage cleaning peopleKitchen, lobby, and conference room maintenanceManage visitors, meals/drinks for visitors, etc.Order office supplies and kitchen supplies as neededClean towels on weekly basisMail and package distributionAssist with shipping as neededBe the go-to person for maintenance issues in officeOrder groceriesHelp with new hire onboardingFocus on efficiency and cost-savings: help us do things better, more quickly and for less moneyCoordinate travel
