Trash2Treasure 2018 Volunteer Application!
T2T is a reuse program subcommittee under UA Sustainability that redirects end-of-year move-out waste to local donation facilities and stores the rest for our Fall Reuse Sale. Bins are set up at every dorm to collect unwanted items. Volunteers are needed to help pack up donated goods in order to store them over the summer.

T2T collection & packing runs from May 23rd to 27th (Spring Finals Week)!

In order to accommodate those who do not yet know their summer plans, applications are due *April 27 at 11:59PM*.

Volunteers will also be expected to complete a training on either May 3rd or May 7th at 6pm in 5-134. More information will be sent out shortly.

Please contact ua-sustainability-t2t@mit.edu if you have any questions or concerns.

Late Stay
Volunteers requesting a late stay are expected to attend a 1 hour training and work at least 1 hour on Wednesday and 2 hours per day Thursday to Sunday between 1:00 to 5:00 pm, for a total of at least 10 hours volunteered. If you have a final exam conflict, you can make up the time on another day - PLEASE LET US KNOW IN THE ADDITIONAL INFO SECTION. Volunteers are expected to commit to T2T and fulfill the working times they signed up for! Late stay will be provided until May 31st. Dorm late stays are usually $595 or more.

*Note that free dorm late stays are only available for undergraduate dorms; therefore the late stay program is not applicable for graduate volunteers. Graduate students and any undergrads not requesting a late stay will be required to attend a 1-hour training, after which they may volunteer as many hours as they would like for fall sale credit (with no specific requirement of 10 hours or any other amount).
Would you like a late stay? *
Fall Sale Credit
Fall sale credit would be offered as an alternative to volunteers who do not want late stays and will be $5 store credit/hour. Any additional hours volunteered by an individual who would like a late stay could also be applied to store credit (i.e. any hours beyond the required 10 for late stay can be cashed in for store credit at $5/hour volunteered, after 10 hours). All volunteers are welcome to select items from the donations for themselves while they are packing and organizing for T2T, so long as this does not significantly affect the efficiency or quality of packing.

*Graduate student volunteers will all receive store credit regardless of number of hours worked, since we cannot offer late stays for graduate volunteers. If you are a grad student, please check 'No' for a late stay and 'Yes' for store credit at $5 per hour volunteered.
