PROP Workshops Registration
We are excited to offer FREE online Python Programming workshops for middle schoolers!
Tentative Class Times: Sundays, 2:00-3:30pm PT (11/1–12/13)

The PROP Workshops are an opportunity for students with prior knowledge of basic Python to dive deeper. Throughout these classes, students will gain knowledge of Python’s various applications in scientific research.

Prior knowledge of basic Python is required. If you do not have prior experience, there are plenty of free online resources that are easy to follow, and a few (plus some of our own Basic Python curriculum) are located at https://guides.projectropes.org/basicpython. We will be reviewing all basic concepts, as well as setup the PyCharm IDE, during the first week.

Workshop content includes (tentative plan):
Week 0 — PyCharm Setup & Python Review
Week 1 — File IO & RegEx
Week 2 — Statistics & NumPy
Week 3 — PyAutoGUI & OS
Week 4 — Requests & OpenCV
Week 5 — Matplotlib & Pandas
