- I will positively promote Middlesex and set a positive example to my peers and younger players and supporters.
- I am aware social media, and anything posted online can be seen by anyone, and I will be careful of what I post online and ensure it is not harmful to others.
During events I will respect and follow captain rules including:
- I will be on time for meetings, meals and matches and follow sleep times.
- I will not enter rooms of adults or players of other genders.
- I will not consume recreational drugs or any illegal substances and understand these may be harmful to my health; put others in danger; be against the law; and / or breach the WADA anti-doping rules.
- I will not consume alcohol in excess.
- I will not use inappropriate, foul or abusive language on / off the court.
- I will not view / share inappropriate content in a public or team setting, in particular around anyone under the age of 18. Inappropriate content is information or images that may upset someone, material that's directed at adults or information that might lead / tempt someone into unlawful or dangerous behaviour. This includes but is not limited to (Pornographic material, Violence, Extremist behaviour, sites advocating criminal and anti-social behaviour, offensive content, material that encourages racism or hate)I will not throw / damage my racket, the ball or court in anger.
Integrity ⚖️
- I will take responsibility for my actions.
- I will play by the rules and call the lines and score fairly, letting officials resolve any disagreements. And respect officials decisions on any disagreements.
- I will not waste time or make excuses.
- I understand there may be junior or younger impressionable players in the team and have a responsibility to follow safeguarding guidance to keep my teammates safe.
- I will talk to someone I trust if I am unhappy with anything in the team.
- If I see a teammate breaking the agreement and putting themselves, the team or someone else in harm, I will tell someone I trust and I know I can go to the captains, or contact Middlesex Tennis Office or Safeguarding Team directly.
