This training now includes OSHA-10 certification! The Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is the national agency in charge of safety in the work place, no matter where you work. This basic certification provides students with an overview of how to be safe and is a valuable certification and building block for any resume. This training will start Thursday the 30th with 6 hours and then go through Friday the 31st until 2:30, and both classes are required for you to pass.
The topics to be covered during the training include:1- Hands on experiences through local field trips, 2- Career building through skills like cover letters, resumes, job retention behaviors, and communication4- Learning basic concepts in landscaping and environmental work (a growing career field in the 21st century!)
When: March 27 th through Friday the 31st, 9 am to 3:30 PM. There will be 30 minute lunch breaks (we recommend you bring your lunch for time's sake)Where: SUNY EOC, 100 New St, Syracuse, NY 13202Who: Free and open to the public.
