Artist Declaration for Climate - Sign Up
"Artists are some of the world's most creative thinkers and greatest problem solvers. Why wouldn't you want us in a room with policymakers talking about climate change?
HELP DRAFT AND SIGN THE FIRST-EVER ARTIST DECLARATION FOR CLIMATE TO BE DELIVERED TO THE UNITED NATIONS!
On September 23, 2019, the United Nations Secretary-General will host the Climate Action Summit in New York with the objective of boosting ambition and rapidly accelerating action to implement the Paris Agreement. The Secretary-General is calling on all actors to help with this objective.
In a lead up to the Summit, Create2030's network of international artists will be drafting the first-ever Artist Declaration on Climate. After the Declaration is finalized, an Artist Delegation will be attending various events and doing pop up readings, powered by renewable energy, during the Climate Summit, Climate Week NYC 2019 and the UN General Assembly (UNGA 74.)

THE THREE TENENTS OF ARTISTIC ENGAGEMENT:
As artists, we commit to:
1) Using our talents to raise the global conversation on the urgent need for climate action.
2) Practicing our art form in a sustainable manner.
3) Partnering with UN agencies, Member States, academic, private sectors, and others on climate action.
Create2030 is partnering with the Battery Tour to organize live readings and performances using renewable energy.
