2021 Can't Stop Hip Hop Conference - Call for Presenters & Performers
The HipHopEX Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) is proud to present the 5th Annual Can't Stop Hip Hop Conference! For two days, May 21 & 22, we will lift up this year's theme: Moving Together.
Given how we all have had to take to the virtual streets, we are creating a two-day online gathering where YOUTH AND ADULTS can EXchange, EXplore, and EXperience the different ways Hip Hop is keeping us connected and moving us forward at such a time as this.
Hip Hop is ever innovative, even under pressure, and we want to spotlight amazing artists, educators, scholars, and organizers of all ages who are centering Hip Hop in how they embody this year's theme of "Moving Together".
PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS FOR PROPOSALS -- PRESENTERS OR PERFORMERS. PLEASE SELECT ONE OPTION.
PERFORMERS -- We are planning a concert of performances or Friday between 7-9PM EST. We aim for performances to be live, but will also consider and plan for recorded performances.
PRESENTERS -- We are planning to have concurrent 75-minute workshops, panels, and presentations held on Saturday between 10AM-5PM EST.
We are looking for artists, performers, and educators of ALL AGES to share their work and their talents as part of the event, so please consider that your work should be able to connect to people age 13-93, and people who may be inside or outside of the "traditional" classroom.
All proposals are due by April 16. We will notify all applicants of their status by April 30.
