The Department of Economics at the University of Chicago announces the 2017 Summer Institute on Field Experiments for scholars, to be held July 9-13 at Saieh Hall for Economics. The Summer Institute will train the brightest young researchers to partner with key stakeholders in government, industry, and the not-for-profit sector to solve the unique problems faced in society through applying economic theory and rigorous field experiment methods. Interested researchers will be selected via a competitive application process. The Institute also seeks practitioner partners who are willing to be “matched” to the most promising of the Institute’s participants to work together and design solutions to problems they face.
If you are an interested scholar, please fill out this application form. This form will also ask you to link or email your CV, provide a concise research interest statement, and name up to 2 faculty (with contact information) who are willing to serve as your reference. Applicants will be selected via a competitive process and you will be notified by May 25, 2017 of whether you have been selected. To be considered for admission to the program, applicants should submit:
1) General information through this form
