SMI Parish Thrift Store Study Underway
Should St. Mary Immaculate Parish open a parish based thrift store in Plainfield?

A group of parishioners is looking into the possibility of the parish sponsoring a thrift store in Plainfield. It would operate mainly from donated goods (clothing, household items, furniture, etc.) similar to Goodwill and St. Vincent DePaul. The main differences would be that from our own store we would be able to provide direct help to those in need of clothing, household items, and personal products, and profits from the store would be given to local charities in the Plainfield area. We would also carry other goods that would help promote a spirituality of simplicity by helping us all spend less and save more.

We are in the feasibility study stage, and we need your input to help determine the viability for this kind of store. Please help by completing the survey below. THANK YOU!
