Change happens when the right collaborators and leaders come together at the right time. The time is now.
Information is the great equalizer. Access to, and use of the internet has become an integral component of everyday life in the 21st century. Digital information has reshaped how individuals participate in nearly every dimension of society. It is imperative for communities to leverage broadband network access to eliminate the homework gap and for the benefit of education, socioeconomic equality, telemedicine, public safety and economic development to maintain and grow quality of life for their citizens.
More than 380,000 households in our state lack access to broadband. Help us #FixTheDamnInternet for Michigan students, strengthen regional economic development efforts, provide a platform for telemedicine and more.
Get involved by presenting at the Michigan Moonshot Broadband Summit this fall or join our partnership of community network vendors working to end the digital divide in our state (contact firstname.lastname@example.org).
Presentations are required to be no more than 45 minutes in duration.
