Area 12 Camp 4-6th May 2018
Area 12 Camp will be once again held at Pontispool. Camp is a super way to build confidence, develop a young horse, get intense tuition or have fun while meeting new people. We have found the three day format works really well and is better for the horses. Lessons are 90 minutes long and will comprise of 1 x flatwork, 2 x cross country and 1 x showjumping. All levels are catered for and groups are matched on jumping ability.

We have specialists in to teach each. We have chosen these coaches for both their great teaching and also being fun and personable whatever level you ride at.

This year groups have flexibility to decide if they want a grids lesson which will be held on the arena or a second cross country lesson.

The group flatwork lesson will be split up into two 45 minute blocks. There is room for you to warm up before the lesson starts.

The cost of camp is £235. This year we have seen additional costs in all areas and we are very fortunate that Area 12 Camp is non profit making.

Space is limited to 32 people for lessons. We also have space for those who wish to attend camp but not participate in lessons.

We can possibly fit those in who want to bring more than one horse but the second horse would not be eligible for tuition just able to use all the facilities at a small additional cost of £70.

The accommodation is in heated cabins of various sizes, which sleep between 3 – 6 people. Cabins contain bunk beds and single beds. Please bring bedding or a sleeping bag, including pillows.

All stabling is straw so if you wish to use shavings you will need to bring your own and ask for a shavings stable.

We will be following our format from last year of hiring specialists for each phase and this year we have BHSI Andrew Lovell and returning from last year BE coach Sarah Thorne, Grand Prix dressage rider and BD judge Alex Harrison and SJ coach Joe Macdonald.

If you wish to take part below is a booking form. If you do not wish to pay in full at time of booking, we are happy to accept a non-refundable deposit of £60 to secure your place. The balance of £175 will be due on or before 31st March 2017. Places are first come, first served and a waitlist will be held.
