WestJet is hosting its inaugural Safety Challenge and we would like to invite you to participate!

During the challenge, you will be asked to build solutions disrupting how the air transport industry manages the safe loading of baggage in the cargo hold of the airplane. The focus areas of the challenge are reducing or preventing repetitive stress injuries from loading bags in the airplane (constricted space) or onto baggage carts (lifting overhead).

When: October 21-22, 2019

Who can participate: We are inviting companies from diverse industries, start-ups, makers, and students to attend.

We are offering a prize pool of $20,000 for the best ideas and potential contract with Westjet after. It will be a great way to showcase your skills, learn new knowledge, challenge yourself, and meet like-minded professionals. It will be a fast-paced, exhilarating event using teamwork to build great ideas. As well, it will be a lot of fun.
