REVIEW COURSE:

Yes. In response to many requests, we have developed and offer an online, self-paced and self-guided Review Course in Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry. This course contains much of the material covered in the examinations. This online review course provides a comprehensive overview of the field and utilizes lectures available in the public domain as well as presentations from the 2016-2024 ASAP annual meetings. However, being that this is public domain material, Category I CME credit is not available although candidates are likely able to claim Category II credit for this course. The course may be accessed online here.

Our hope is to offer a live or virtual review or update course for Category I CME credit in future years, but until then, we are able to offer this option to our candidates. If you have a genuine interest in certification by our board and would like to begin with this review course before applying, please provide us your contact information below in Section 15 and mention your interest in the review course in Section 16, then submit the form to us!

IS A REVIEW COURSE REQUIRED?

No. In fact, a significant percentage of the 700+ Diplomates certified by our Board since 1992 have not taken a review course. We certainly recommend the review course, but it is not required. All applicants receive access to the course, but are free to ignore it if they wish, or to access only those portions that interest them for preparation purposes.
