The Makers Fair is timed to run alongside the famous Salamanca Market on Saturday morning, 4th May 2019. Salamanca Market is Tasmania’s most visited tourist attraction and prides itself on having the biggest selection of locally made products and produce in Tasmania: https://www.salamancamarket.com.au/about-the-market, and is just over the road from the conference venue, PW1.
TACTT will provide, at no cost, table space of 900mm x 750mm (half a trestle table) for each participant to sell their work. Are you a student and only have a few items to sell? No problems! You can team up with another maker / makers to make up your half a table.
Participants must provide all other aspects of their stall, i.e. display, packaging materials, bags etc. If you are travelling and are not able to bring these items with you, please let us know, the Pot Shop will be able to provide packaging for a $10 fee.
Participants will be responsible for managing and taking their own sales. It is up to the individual as to whether or not you take card sales or just cash.
The Makers Fair will be set-up during the morning of Saturday 4th May, in the public surrounds of the conference venue, PW1, which is next to Salamanca Market. The Makers Fair will run from 9am until 2pm. Participants will be required to be set up by 9am, and pack down between 1pm – 2pm. The trestle tables will be setup by 8.30am and packed down at 2.30pm by TACTT, participants are responsible for all other aspects of their stall, such as display furniture etc.
Please complete this form to apply. Participants will be provided with more detailed information closer to the event.
