East Incoming 9th Grade (Class of 2025) & Transfer Student Class Choice Meeting RSVP
If you are a current 9th grader at East (Class of 2024) and you received this link in error, we apologize for the confusion and you do NOT need to complete this RSVP.
Incoming 9th Graders (Class of 2025) and Transfer Students- If you recently received notification from the DPS Office of Choice and Enrollment that you were accepted to East for the 2021-22 school year, congratulations & welcome future Angels! We are looking forward to connecting with you and helping you choose your classes for next school year soon. Please mark your calendars for our mandatory upcoming virtual class choice meetings that will be held on April 13, 14, and 15th from 6:00-7:30 pm.
During this time you will attend a presentation about East and learn what we have to offer. Following our presentation you will meet with counselors in smaller groups of other incoming 9th graders or transfer students to talk through our course options before self-selecting your classes via Google form. During these breakout sessions you will be able to have all of your questions answered.
Math Placement Exam Information- If your student has already passed a full year of both Algebra AND Geometry in middle school, you may indicate your interest in taking our Advanced Algebra 2 placement exam offered May 3 and May 4 from 4-6 pm at the bottom of this RSVP form. More information to follow.

Students who come from middle school having taken BOTH Algebra 1 (or Integrated Math 1) and Geometry (or Integrated Math 2) are encouraged to take a placement test to see if they are ready for Algebra 2 which is a juniors level course (most 9th graders take Algebra 1 Honors or Geometry Honors and do not need to take a placement test- the placement test is only for students who already passed Algebra 1 AND Geometry in Middle School).
