Voicing very valuable Vocaloid votes
Some time ago, our longstanding member and frequent karaoke room crew boss Maria presented a proposal about revising the way we name Vocaloid songs in our database and karaoke list. As this would be a big change, we want to gather opinions from more people about it. As such, we have created this survey, even if it took some time to get it launched. We are looking for opinions from everyone, not only those of you who are Vocaloid fans! Our aim is that the list should be accessible for everyone, no matter how much knowledge you enter with.

Before you reply to this poll, please read the full presentation about the proposal. If you need a refresher on what the karaoke list looks like on the inside, you can find it here.

Now, any change of such a magnitude as the one here proposed by Maria will not be implemented without careful deliberations. Decisions about this will not be made quickly or lightly, and that's why we want to know your thoughts!

So I'm very much looking forward to hearing what you have to say on the matter.

Answers in both Swedish and English are acceptable.

- Kenny, karaoke warden of Raison d'être

Vocaloid and you
Before we get into the main purpose of this poll, we'd just like to know how into Vocaloid you are!
C-1: How much of a Vocaloid fan are you?
*
C-2: How often do you sing Vocaloid songs when we offer our karaoke?
*
C-3: If you wanted to find a new Vocaloid song to sing, what would you be looking for first?
*
(applies even in the theoretical case of you looking for a song to sing even if you've never sung a Vocaloid song before)
C-4: If you wanted to look up a Vocaloid song on Youtube, what would your first instinct be to search for?
*
Vocaloid files and the naming thereof
Alright, now we've reached the main thing this poll was made for in the first place—the naming of the Vocaloid files in our database. This is where it's important that you've read the file name proposal, so if you still haven't done so, please go ahead and do so now!
D-1: Have you made any Vocaloid karaoke files?
*
D-2: Please rank the following possible options of naming Vocaloid files in order of preference, where 1 is the one you prefer the most and 4 the least. (Don't worry about what some options might do to the length of the names or the list, that's for us to consider later.)

Character - Song Name
Composer - Song Name
Character - Composer - Song Name
Composer - Character - Song Name
D-3: In the event of Composer - Character - Song Name becoming the new standard, what's your opinion on shortening the character names to just their first name? E.g. Miku instead of Hatsune Miku, Len instead of Kagamine Len, and so on.
*
(please note that this would only ever be in consideration for that specific option, none of the others. If the character names are to be listed first, then they will be written out in full.)
D-4: Assuming some file names do need to be shortened, how many character names do you believe should be the minimum involved to consider not including all the names in full in the file name?

Vocaloid and the karaoke list
Where we look on a variety of questions regarding how Vocaloid should appear in the karaoke list.
E-1: First off, while the category is named "Vocaloid", we currently have songs made with at least four different voice synthesizer softwares in there: Vocaloid, UTAU, SynthV, and ACE Studio. Do you think we should change the name of the category, and if so, to what?
(maximum 20 characters)
E-2: If an original song from a video game is made with a voice synthesizer character as the singer, where do you think a karaoke file of that should be sorted?
*
E-3: Where do you feel voice synthesizer covers of already existing songs should be sorted?
*
(assume the creator of the cover is known. More than one option can be selected.)
Required
E-4: If voice synthesizer songs are to be primarily sorted by their composers, do you think they should be sorted in the categories the songs logically belong to instead of a dedicated category?
*
E-5: Currently, there are a few songs listed with just "Vocaloid" as the artist, as they had so many characters involved that we thought the file names would be too long. However, there is currently no standard for when to do this, there being one song with only three characters listed as such, but also songs with four listed with all the names. Assuming name length isn't considered an issue, and character name is part of the standard naming format, how do you think these should be named?

Any other comments?
(If you've previously voiced an opinion about this proposal somewhere and the questions above did not cover all of it, please put it here too so I've got everything in one place)
