September Swing 2025 Cook-Off
Parents and Family members! It's your time to shine. Select a food item of your choice to make for the September Swing Cook-Off on September 20th. If you win in your category, you will be rewarded with 4 free tickets to see LEGALLY BLONDE. You may participate in as many categories as you wish.

You can also sign up to bring utensils for the event. Bowls, drinks, ice, or condiments.

Let the cooking begin!

1. What to Bring?

For Chili Entrants:  Bring your chili in a crock pot to keep it warm throughout the event.  Don’t forget your serving utensils (ladles, etc.) for serving your chili to the crowd.  Bring a multi-plug power strip if you’re using a crock pot, so we have enough outlets for everyone.

For Cornbread Entrants:  If possible, bring your cornbread ready to serve—cut it into small pieces so people can easily taste it. You can cut it at the event if you are worried about it drying out.  Remember to bring your own serving utensils (bread knives, spatulas, etc.).

For Pie Entrants:  If possible bring your pie ready to serve—pre-slice your pie to ensure it’s easy for people to try a portion. Or you can cut at the event if you are worried about it falling apart or if you are needing to keep it in the fridge leading up to the event.  Please bring your own pie server for people to help themselves.

All Entrants:  Label your items: Please ensure your crock pots, pans, and serving utensils are labeled with your name on the bottom to avoid mix-ups.

2. Event Schedule.

Arrival Time: Please arrive by 4:45 pm to set up your station. This will give us time to organize the dishes before the event begins. If you have to arrive later, please let _ know. The event is from 5 pm - 7 pm for the silent auction and cook off. Silent auction will end at 7:00.

Set-Up: Plug in your crock pots, set out your cornbread or pie, and place your serving utensils nearby.

Labeling: We will have cards with the name of your dish written on it and a number assigned. Make sure to pick up the label when you check in.  Make sure to fill out your this form and include the name of the item(s) you're cooking and place it next to your dish.

3. Voting and Judging:

Guests will be given a chance to taste each dish and vote for their favorite in each category. Winners will be announced once voting is complete!

4. Wrap Up:  After the event, we will have students help clean up your station and make sure we find all your items.
