We are looking for students to fill volunteer roles as Counselors in Training (CIT) for our 2026 summer camp program at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum. CITs assist camp counselors in leading and mentoring campers to provide the best possible experience for the kids. Our CITs must be 12-17 years old and be very responsible individuals. We are looking for students who want to gain leadership experience.

To go along with our summer camp programs we require a commitment of Monday-Friday of your chosen week(s) (with the exception of those camps labelled "All Day", "3 Day", or "4 Day"). Unless otherwise noted, our camps run as half days, where morning camp CIT's are on site from 8:45am-12:30pm, and afternoon camp CIT's are on site from 12:30pm-4:15pm. Depending on the week desired/scheduling there is an option to stack two camps to stay from 8:45am-4:15pm.

Once you have filled out this interest form, we will be in contact by mid April to schedule a training/orientation event.
