Call for Stories - "Workin’ It: Stories about Making a Living in Baltimore"
The Baltimore Museum of Industry in collaboration with The Stoop Storytelling Series will present “Workin’ It: Stories about Making a Living in Baltimore” on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. We’re seeking storytellers to share about a particular job, occupation, or aspect of their work life. We define “work” broadly and we’re open to stories about everything from day jobs, to driving Uber, to unpaid internships, to first jobs, to domestic labor, to lifelong avocations, to military posts, to working in the underground economy, to sex work and sexual harassment in the workplace. Stories can be funny, sad, serious — or all three. As long as they’re true, and they capture the adventures, challenges, joy, or surrealism of working in Baltimore, we’re all ears.
Please share your current occupation or professional title.
Are you available to participate in the show on Thursday, May 16, 2019 plus an in-person coaching session TBD?
Please share a 3-4 sentence summary of your "Workin' It" story. Be sure to include the beginning, middle, and end.
