FIRST Robotics Competition Argosy Grant Application for Rookie teams in Iowa
The Argosy Foundation has graciously made a grant available to help start FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams for high school students in Iowa. This grant is available to rookie FRC teams and covers the cost of training for new mentors and a robot kit. The robot kit includes enough components to build and program a drivable robot in the fall as a learning tool prior to the season.

What is required by the educator or team leader in order to implement this program?
1. Team must be located in Iowa
2. Team must be sponsored by a school or a 501(c)3 organization. (organizations such as 4H clubs, scout troops, etc. are invited to apply)
3. Arrange additional team mentor(s)
4. Recruit a minimum of 10 student team members
5. Arrange a location for the team to use for meetings and building their robot
6. Arrange community partners and sponsors to cover additional costs to build a robot
7. Team should attend the FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff event in Cedar Falls.
8. Register their team for and compete in at least one regional FIRST Robotics Competition event
