The Platte County Assessor’s Office is dedicated to ensuring that property within Platte County is valued in a fair and uniform manner. For this reason, I am asking that you complete the questionnaire concerning the income and expenses of your income-producing property.

If you are an owner-occupied building, please list your expenses for your property, such as: utilities, insurance, maintenance and any capital repairs.

While you are not required to complete the form, the data will assist me with valuing properties like yours. The data collected will be grouped and compared to similar property types to determine the typical income and expenses for each group of properties. Please indicate if you wish to keep this information confidential.

My office uses both national and local income and expense data. Local information is crucial and will allow me to equalize values in the local market. You as taxpayers are the best source of this information.

My office will be preforming an on-site inspection of the land encompassing your property sometime this year for reassessment in 2021. Information regarding the interior of the property’s improvements and buildings is of great importance to our assessment effort. If you would permit our office to inspect the interior of your property, please enclose a name of a contact along with the contact’s information with your questionnaire.
