CURRICULUM KITThe Faithful Families curriculum was updated in 2016 to include:- updated nutrition information,- social media connections,- recipe and videos for each lesson, - a guide to carrying out family-based classes,- tips on incorporating fresh, local foods through farmers’ market tours.
The curriculum includes everything you need to implement the program, including:- ready-to-use PowerPoint slides and scripts for the nine-session series,- a Lay Leader Training Guide and evaluation tools,- Move More activities,- guides to carrying out family-based classes and farmers’ market tours,- recipes for each lesson, recipe videos for each lesson,- faith-based discussion questions.
PLANNING GUIDEThe Planning Guide for Faithful Families is included in the curriculum kit, and available for free download on our website. The guide assists faith leaders in adopting policy and environmental change for their faith community and establishing health committees.
SPANISH MATERIALSSpanish versions of the PowerPoints and participant handouts are available with your purchase of the English curriculum kit. These will be sent via email as a Dropbox or Google Drive link.
CHRONIC DISEASE LESSONSIn addition to the core curriculum, we also offer four chronic disease lessons, packaged together. These lessons are meant to be delivered AFTER the Faithful Families core lessons. The curriculum includes everything you need to implement these lessons, including ready-to-use PowerPoint slides and scripts for the four-session series and a Leader Guide. These lessons can be taught together or as solo lessons. The lessons focus on prevention of four chronic diseases: hypertension, prediabetes, diabetes, and cancer.
COOKBOOKSWe also have cookbooks available for order. They are available in English or Spanish. Cookbooks ship out in quantities of 25. The minimum order is 25 and you should order in quantities of 25.
RESEARCH: Please note that if you are using this curriculum and program to conduct research or publish results, we ask that you communicate that with the Project PI, Annie Hardison-Moody (firstname.lastname@example.org). We would love to work with you to share the results of this work, and to build a broader base of evidence for its success. Thank you!
2) Chronic disease lessons kits are $100 plus $15/kit for shipping. The notebook contains all four lessons.
3) Cookbooks are $3.50 each, which includes shipping.
4) The PowerPoint slides and handouts (not the curriculum script) are available in Spanish. Please not below if you need these files in Spanish. Please note that the curriculum script will still be in English, but we can send you the PowerPoint slides and handout files in Spanish via Google Drive and Dropbox.
