Detroit Lakes Nordic Ski Camp (Ages 7-12)
Sign up here for the Detroit Lakes Nordic (cross country) Ski School! This three week class is available currently for kids ages 7 to 12. They will meet at Detroit Mountain and ski on the Nordic ski trails there. We will be teaching classic technique with an eye towards giving them the skills to easily skate ski later. Limited skis are available to kids; we will do our best to get them into a correct size. 
**For kids older than 12 we encourage them to join the middle school ski program after school and we just aren't quite setup this year for kids younger than 7.

DATES: Three Sundays in January: 8, 15, & 22
January 29th there will be a ski event the kids can take part in at Tamarac refuge using their skills built up over the three week class. 

TIMES: are 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

COST: $50 per child/ Max of $100 per family. This includes use of skis while at practice. Skis are to remain at DMRA and may not be taken home during the week. 

We will meet at the Nordic building at DMRA (not the main ski lodge) each Sunday for the ski school. Groups will leave to go on the trails at 1:30, so please arrive early and be ready to go at 1:30. More information on clothing requirements and suggestions as well as weather policies will be sent out to registered participants. 

You have the ability to sign up three children with this form. If you need to register more than that you will need to load the form again. 

CANCELLATION: If your child/children need to withdraw before the class starts please email Nikki at nikki@skirtsrule.com to notify her and begin the refund process. 
Quitting/being unable to attend the class after camp has started will not result in a refund.

Parent Skis: Are you (parent) interested in skiing with us? We ask that you do the activities with the kids as you will learn to ski as well! 
Please note: We have very LIMITED adult skis and sizes available so we will do our best to accommodate you if possible. We will get the kids fitted first and use leftover skis to outfit parents.

Reminder all proceeds go the DL Nordic Ski Club for future expansion of the Youth Ski Program. Instructors are not paid.
