Help Gather Signatures for the Transparency Ballot Question!
We at Act on Mass and The People's House Coalition are launching our second ever Ballot Question Campaign. Our goal is to get our non-binding transparency ballot question on 10 - 20 ballots across the commonwealth to turn up the pressure on the State House in advance of the 2022 election and 2023 vote on the Rules.
Our ballot question language:
"Shall the representative for this district be instructed to vote in favor of changes to the applicable House of Representative rules to make each legislator’s vote in that body's Legislative committees publicly available on the Legislature's website?"
In order to get our question on the ballot in November, we need to gather 200 signatures per State House district. That means we're launching a grassroots signature-gathering campaign to get our question on as many ballots as we can.
We ran a similar question on 16 ballots in 2020, and they passed with an average of 90%. Let's keep up the momentum and show the State House we know we deserve to see their votes!
