FHM - Science & Engineering Fair Classroom Mentors
The FHM Science & Engineering Fair (S&EF) will be January 14 and 16, 2020. One of the key needs we have are volunteer mentors in the classroom to help students plan parts of their Science & Engineering Fair Project. Other component of this role is to demonstrate in lessons, if desired, the functions and format of each of the parts of the Scientific Method. For example, to get students excited, the Science Mentor has the opportunity to demonstrate an experiment and walk the students through developing ideas on what to do for the Fair. The time commitment will vary based upon the grade level with primary being less time and middle school requiring more time. Mentors will need to be cleared as a classroom volunteer before beginning in the classroom. Thank you for your support of FHM!!
