2019 MYL Foundation MassSTAR 3-Day Conference Junior Staff Application
The MassSTAR 3-Day Citizenship Conference is 100% volunteer staffed and is sponsored by the Massachusetts Youth Leadership Foundation (MYL Foundation). We rely on the enthusiasm and dedication of our outstanding volunteers to make this weekend possible - and we are happy that you are interested in providing it for the 2019 MassSTAR Conference!

APPLICATION DEADLINE: The deadline to submit a staff application is April 5th at 11:59:59 PM. Applications submitted after this deadline may not be considered.

AGE: You must be under 21 years old at the time of the conference to be considered for a Junior Staff position. For those 21 and older, please see the Senior Staff Application.

APPLICATION: There is multiple choice, several short-answer questions, a professional character reference, and a self-recorded YouTube video. Please plan your time accordingly! We also encourage you to be open and enthusiastic in your responses.

EXPECTATIONS: By filling out the application it is assumed, unless stated otherwise in writing that you adhere to the following if selected as Junior Staff:
- Attend the one day staff training on April 27th, 2019 from 12pm-5pm.
- Being on-site at Lasell College for the 2019 Conference from 5pm on Thursday, May 30th through 7pm Sunday, June 2nd 2019.
- Raise $250 in in-kind donations for the conference
- Fill out all required forms/paperwork by the designated deadline(s)
- Ensure a sophomore delegate is nominated and registered from your school
- Maintain academic eligibility to participate in extra-curricular activities at your school
- Fill out all post conference surveys and questionnaires.

Please note, failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in exclusion from conference staff. Any conflicts must be communicated to the Junior Staff Director with as much notice as possible.

BEING A ROLE MODEL: Serving on Junior Staff for MassSTAR means serving as a role model for all student delegates. Accordingly, staff is expected to maintain professional behavior and appearance (in person and online) in all interactions with MassSTAR delegates, staff, and volunteers before, during, and following the 2019 MassSTAR Conference.
