HOBY MD Alumni Association Board Application
Please complete the application below if you would like to apply for a position on the HOBY MD Alumni Association Board. Open Positions include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and County Representatives. All terms are one year long, beginning from October 15, 2026. 

Applications are due by 11:59PM EST on Wednesday, September 30. Candidate interviews may be requested. Final selections will be announced by Friday, October 9. 

All Officials are required to:
  • Be a HOBY Maryland alumnus 
  • Attend half of all virtual monthly meetings (6 out of 12)
  • Attend at least one in-person event and two virtual events
  • Support the development of the Alumni Association and help establish the structure
  • Support the planning and execution of events
Position Descriptions: 
  • President: Directly support the Alumni Advisor with establishing annual goals and the event calendar. Lead the monthly Alumni Association meetings. Ensure engagement of members and that all events have individuals to help lead and execute. 
  • Vice President: Directly support the President and the Alumni Advisor with core responsibilities of the Board. Partner with the President to ensure progress against annual goals. 
  • Treasurer: Support management of the Alumni Association budget and help plan fundraisers for the Alumni Association. 
  • Secretary: Maintain meeting notes and documents of record. Support with ongoing tasks related to the functioning of the Board. 
  • County Representative: Help to plan Alumni Association events in their county. Support school engagement within their county to encourage schools to send students to the HOBY MD seminar. Serve as a representative to organizations within the county that donate to HOBY.
