Peer Relations Lab Application

Thank you for your interest in the Peer Relations Lab! Our lab examines how interpersonal experiences, particularly with peers, impact adolescent development through a wide range of experiences including nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI), suicidal ideation, and health-risk behaviors (e.g., sexual- and drug-related behaviors). Students with an interest in adolescence, developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology related to these areas may be most likely to find that our lab offers interesting and valuable experiences. Furthermore, we are strongly committed to increasing diversity in the field of psychology. We welcome members from all different backgrounds including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, and sexual orientation.

To assess the potential match between this experience and your availability/interests, please perform the following steps:

1. Complete and submit this form.
2. E-mail Professor Prinstein (mitch.prinstein@unc.edu) with times you would be available to meet for an informal interview.

Please note that we generally review applications and perform interviews towards the end of each semester with the intention of new lab personnel to start the following semester, unless extraneous circumstances arise. If you do not receive an immediate response, please be patient.
