The OMI Green Team is the umbrella of the congregational Green Teams within OMI/Meeting House. We have received seven grants to enhance the "Greening of OMI". You may have noticed a new water fountain (with bottle filling station) and new waste management stations popping up around the building. We built two new gardens as well for a total of 7 gardens. Our newest garden is also a stormwater bioretention basin. Part of our grant activities is environmental education and this is where YOU come in. Check out

Sunday December 3 (Youth) Green Team event: The OMI Green Team will be conducting a stormwater management walk through the Stevens Forest neighborhood, a 1.5 mile walk starting and finishing at OMI/ The Meeting House.
We will start at 10am and will be back by 11:30 am. If there is interest, we will repeat the walk at 12:30 pm. Please preregister for the preferred walk.
Everyone is welcome – the trail is accessible to strollers, and wagons too. The walk is a little hilly but it is all on pavement. We hope for some rain – stormwater management is always easier to envision when it actually rains, so dress for the weather!
