Please use this form to submit your idea for a session at the
2025 NISO Plus Baltimore conference, to be held February 11–12, 2025. The conference will be held in person in Baltimore, Maryland at the
Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, and all sessions will be delivered in person. Registration information and hotel rates will be announced very soon.
The goal of the conference is to bring together stakeholders from across the information community to identify challenges and opportunities and generate concrete ideas that will address them. We therefore welcome proposals on timely topics that encourage audience participation and collaboration during the discussion period. Broad topics of interest include (but aren't limited to) AI and emerging technologies, archiving and preservation, global issues, information quality and ethics, metadata, metrics, open research (including open access), peer review, persistent identifiers, research infrastructure, research integrity and ethics, and sustainability.
Sessions will consist of two parts: a presentation or panel discussion (a minimum of two speakers is strongly recommended) and a conversation and Q&A with the attendees. You should plan roughly 45 minutes for the presentation aspect of the session.
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and support diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in the information community (
https://www.niso.org/what-we-do/DEIcommittee), we strongly encourage and will prioritize proposals that reflect a variety of perspectives—geographical, organizational, functional, etc.—and that acknowledge and address DEIA challenges and opportunities. We therefore recommend that you include either confirmed speakers or examples of who you plan to invite to speak.
We welcome suggestions for NISO Plus 2025 sessions from across the global information community— librarians, publishers, vendors, and others.
If you wish to submit more than one idea, please use a separate form for each one. The closing date for proposals is November 1, 2025, after which
all proposals will be anonymized before being reviewed by the NISO Plus 2025 Planning Committee. We will respond to those accepted no later than November 15.
