Field trips can be an important part of a student’s learning experience when they are well planned, the class is prepared, and there is a follow-up activity. Transportation, however is a major cost factor. General guidelines are a limit of two field trips per year per class. This refers primarily to trips that are off-campus and require a bus rental. Field trips that are walking distance can occur more often, but the appropriate steps should still be taken before taking students off campus. Finally, MAK will cover field trip expenses of up to 100 NT per student. Please note: The 100NT should only be used to alleviate admission fees or accommodation.

two weeks prior to the planned trip and follow up with the following people:
- Dan (approval)
- Ashburn & Bill (bus)
- Hana (lunch)
- Angela (Substitute - If needed and Child Safety)
- Team Leader (teacher notification)
- Communicate with all impacted staff and teachers at least two weeks in advance and send a reminder email in the days before the event.
All parents and guardians attending the field trip must be
Child Safety certified.
If your field trip is approved, please cc. MAK Office in all your outgoing parent/guardian emails. This will ensure the office can support you when there is an inquiry regarding your field trip.
Finally, once your field trip is approved, it is your responsibly to communicate with all impacted staff and teachers at least two weeks in advance and send a reminder email in the days before the event.
