Certified Landscape Designer (CLD) Legacy Provision Application Form
*Please Note:
  1. This form is for CLD candidates taking the Legacy Provision path.
  2. A minimum of 12 years combined education and work experience in landscape design is required to register for the Legacy Provision path. 
  3. Candidates commence their portfolio review of 3 landscape design projects in which they played the lead design role without taking the written tests. Details on the portfolio review are available by following links on this webpage. Design projects are submitted to certification@cnla-acpp.ca.
  4. Legacy Provision candidates are required to secure 2 CLDs to sponsor their application. Each CLD sponsor will complete and submit the CLD Sponsor's Declaration in this link.
  5. Registration fee covers the cost to complete the entire portfolio review.
  6. From the date of receiving feedback on their first project, candidates have 5 years to complete their portfolio review and earn their designation.
  7. Applicants with proof of full, active membership of professional landscape design certification bodies may earn their CLD certification through this path without completing the portfolio review.
  8. CLDs are required to submit 24 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every 2 years to maintain their certification. Visit this webpage for more information about Recertification. 
  9. Cancellation Policy: Candidates have 30 days from submitting their registration form to cancel. A 15% administration fee will be withheld upon cancellation.
  10. Allow 2 - 4 business days to process registration and send your confirmation email.
