Pratt Photography Department Equipment and Facilities Use Agreement

  • I understand and agree that I may use equipment and facilities so long as I am currently registered as a Photography Major, Photography Minor, or currently enrolled in a Photography course at Pratt Institute.
  • I agree to pay all associated fees required for the use of Photography Department equipment and facilities. 
  • I will only use the equipment and facilities for the completion of assignments and projects for departmental courses in which I am enrolled.
  • I may use only those items of equipment and facilities which the faculty and staff of the Photography Department deem I am competent to use.
  • While in my care and signed out to me, I will not transfer any piece of equipment/room key or give any other person access to facilities or equipment without prior, written permission from a Photography Department faculty or staff member.
  • I will pick up/return all keys and equipment at or before the agreed upon time.  
Should any of the above not happen without notice I am subject to the Equipment Penalty Policy :

First Occurrence :  I will receive a Verbal Warning

Second Occurrence: I will be barred from using Photography Department Equipment and Facilities for one week 

Third Occurrence: I will be barred from using Photography Department Equipment and Facilities for one additional week and incur a $20 fine.


  • I will be responsible for maintaining neat and orderly facilities as determined by Photography Department Staff and if I fail to do so I may be subject to fines or discontinued use of facilities.

  • I will personally assume full and complete responsibility for equipment and facilities in my care and be responsible for 100% of the cost to replace or repair damaged or lost equipment regardless of circumstance.

  • I understand and agree that my access and permission to use the Department’s equipment and facilities may be limited or discontinued by Pratt for cause, such as but not limited to my negligence, carelessness, or misconduct.

Any violation of this agreement may result in discontinuation of use of facilities and equipment for the remainder of the semester.
