In order to address the challenges and support NGOs in Education (ENGOs) in delivering on their mandates in support of national development goals, a collaborative structure is being pursued which can assist ENGOs in networking and communication, accessing funders and government, internal capacity development and ensuring high standards of practice and delivery in the education space.

Join Dr Rooksana Rajab in finding out about the latest developments in the formation of an Association for all NGOS, CBOs and NPOs in education.
Dr Rajab is the newly appointed Project Manager appointed by the Steering Committee of the Education NGOs nominated at the 2016 Summit.
This summit was an initiative driven by the National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) and endorsed by the Minister of Basic Education.
The elected Steering Committee has volunteered their services for the past two years and have now additional capacity with a new Project Manager in place funded by the JET Education Services.

The purpose of the workshops nationally is to consult and provide updates of future plans in formalising the representative structure.

In addition, experts on Impact Investing will also discuss the concept and elaborate on how NGOS can benefit. The following main topics will be presented:

Introduction to impact investing
Key terms and definitions
Recent trends in South Africa and the rest of the world
Approaches to impact investing & case studies
Key considerations for non-profit organisations

In addition to covering the above topics, we would like to ensure that the sessions are interactive, and the participants have sufficient opportunity to ask questions
