Rather than a traditional ordination "laying on of hands, " we will transmit blessings through words versus physical touch. Kathryn Kreider, artist and friend behind this project, describes it this way: "The stole will be a silk sash about 12' long. On the two bands in front, there will be a cascade of rainbow colored silk ribbons, 1' x 8" .  Each ribbon is to represent a prayer, a blessing, a bible verse, a good wish, or just the name of a person who will be at the ceremony in physical presence or in spirit. "
