World Suicide Prevention Day - Free Community safeTALK
September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day. This day is an opportunity to remember the lives of people we’ve lost to suicide and raise awareness for suicide prevention. To support this, we are offering a free safeTALK workshop to members of our community.

Date & Time: Wednesday, September 10, 2025 - 9:00am - 12:30pm PST
Address:  763 E Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5T 1X8
Contact us: clecoordinator@crisiscentre.bc.ca

safeTALK is a half-day workshop that teaches “connector skills”, including recognizing signs, engaging a person with thoughts of suicide, and connecting them to an intervention resource for safety and further support. safeTALK is an internationally recognized LivingWorks program that features powerful presentations, audiovisuals, and skills practice.

If you can’t attend the training you’re registered for, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your spot to someone else. Space is limited and interest is high for free training opportunities.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops if minimum registration numbers are not met; in the event that we elect to cancel a workshop, full refunds will be issued.

Illness & Mask Policy

For the safety of everyone, we kindly ask that you stay home if you are sick. Masks will be available and are strongly encouraged for anyone recovering from illness or who may have been exposed to illness through close contacts (e.g., child, coworker, roommate, partner).

If you are unable to attend due to illness, please contact us at clecoordinator@crisiscentre.bc.ca as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling or other options.

I acknowledge that I will not attend an in-person workshop if I am sick (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat, or other symptoms of illness) to protect the health and safety of all participants and trainers.  *
