Junior Tournament on the 30th of January 2022
Please use this form to sign up to our junior tournament in the Stillorgan Park Hotel on the 30th of January. This tournament is for players aged between 6 and 14. It is not suitable for complete beginners. The entry fee is €15 per player (€25/€35 for two/three siblings), paid in advance.

There will be two sections (Minor and Challengers) in this 5-round tournament. The Challengers tournament is for older and more experienced players. Chess clocks will be used in that section. There will be a short masterclass starting around 13:40. Play will commence shortly after 14:00. We expect prize giving to take place between 16:15 and 16:30, but it could start slightly earlier. Parents can leave after bring their children in and return closer to 16:15. We will contact parents if necessary.

To expedite things at the tournament, registration is done online. You can cancel your participation before 10:00 on the 30th of January via email to baburin@gmail.com - with a full refund/credit.

There will be a stall at the tournament where you can buy chess books, sets and clocks.

Schedule:
13:30 – 14:00 Arrival of players
13:40 – 14:15 A short master-class by GM Alex Baburin and Introduction to tournament rules
14:15 – 16:15 5-round tournament
16:15 – 16:30 Prize giving
