About PNBAAThe Pacific Northwest Business Aviation Association (PNBAA) is a not-for-profit association of aviation professionals representing the interests of business aviation across the Pacific Northwest. We strive to provide a unified voice promoting the value of business aviation with regulators, building our membership strength, providing professional education opportunities and, hosting networking events.
The PNBAA will be awarding the following scholarships in 2025:
PNBAA Career Catalyst Scholarship
PNBAA will sponsor one $5000 scholarship for the selected individual aspiring to be, or currently in, business aviation as an employee, contractor or student. This scholarship aims to assist in catalyzing such individual in their career and/or education in a qualified program or area of study related to the business aviation industry.
Elevate PNW: Business Aviation Scholarship
PNBAA will sponsor one $20,000 scholarship for the selected individual in their educational journey to obtain their A&P certificates by aiding with the cost of tuition, materials, and fees associated with obtaining their A&P rating. Any program in the Pacific Northwest region can be attended by the selected student.

Any individual working as or aspiring to be a professional business aviation pilot looking to obtain an advanced rating, such as their instrument rating, commercial pilot license, certified flight instructor rating or ATP. Type ratings are also eligible and will be reviewed on a case by case basis. As this scholarship is meant to help an existing pilot advance in their career, the private pilot certificate is not eligible. The flight training scholarship only qualifies at 141 accredited schools up to $20,000 maximum.

Eligibility & Process:
Qualifications are to be employed by a business aviation company OR enrolled in an aviation related program.
The Board of Directors will review member applications after the closing dates with the intent to make award notifications after Tuesday, November 25th with formal presentation at the PNBAA Member Meeting & Holiday Party at the Museum of Flight in Seattle on Thursday, December 4th, 2025.
Award CriteriaApplicants are required to submit a thoughtful essay highlighting their interest in business aviation and how their education may contribute to the growth of their career and/or field of study in 2025 and beyond.
PNBAA will make a payment on behalf of the selected individual directly to their school or service provider, unless otherwise appropriate. The award must be paid within nine (9) months of being notified or it will be forfeited. If an application is not selected for an award, it will remain in consideration for any remaining member scholarships for 12 months after submission.
