Community Resource Corps | AmeriCorps Member Application
The Community Resource Corps is recruiting a team of AmeriCorps Members! These AmeriCorps Members will serve part-time to conduct outreach and connect residents to resources. Applicants will have a choice of serving an 11 month term  from October 2022 to August 28 2023 OR a 6 month term from October 2022 to March 2023!

We welcome AmeriCorps Members with diverse experiences and identities. We welcome people impacted by mass incarceration and people formerly incarcerated. People with most types of convictions are eligible. People convicted for sex crimes or murder are ineligible, due to federal requirements. We're looking for AmeriCorps Members who are:
     +  Activists and organizers in their own community.
     +  People interested in making a difference and becoming a leader in their neighborhood.
     +  Committed to work a 6 hour shift between 10 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday to complete 1,200 hours for a minimum of 11 months or 675 hours for 6 months (October 2022- March 2023)

AmeriCorps Members will receive:
     +  A Generous Living stipend.
     +  Health care support.
     +  Transportation support.
     +  Monthly professional development trainings.
     +  Education Award of $4,546.50 for an 11 month term or $2,474.27 for a 6 month term if service term is completed
     +  Five (5) points on the City of Philadelphia’s civil service exam upon completion of the program.

AmeriCorps Members must:
     +  Be 17 (with parental consent) or older
     +  Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national or Lawful Permanent Resident Alien.
     +  Have or be working toward a high school degree or equivalency.
     +  Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or be eligible for a medical or religious exemption for the COVID-19 vaccine before the start of service.
     +  Clear a National Service Criminal History Check*. This check screens out people with convictions for sex crimes or murder. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please contact us at the email below.

*NSCHC is required under the National and Community Service Act of 1990, as amended by the Serve America Act (SAA). The statutory requirement at 42 U.S.C. § 12645g is supplemented by regulatory requirements at 45 CFR §2540.200 through §2540.207 as well as the terms and conditions of AmeriCorps grants.*
