**Please note that this league is open to citizens and residents of the United States**
Thank you for your interest in the concept of the American Riichi Mahjong League! Hopefully you will be on the ground floor of something lasting that can bring people in from all corners of the country!
The basic details are as follows:
- Games will be played on Tenhou
- Each season is 13 weeks consisting of 6 rounds held every 2 weeks w/the 13th week reserved as a buffer week for playoffs (if needed) or as an additional week granted to a round in the event of a major tournament during that particular round.
- Each round consists of 4/(5) games between a pairing of 4/(5) players
- Rounds can be played at any time during the biweekly period agreed upon by the players
- Ruleset will be WRC rules (

- Atamahane (headbump) - No (i.e. multiple ron allowed)
- Kazoe yakuman (counted yakuman) - Yes
- Sliding uma based upon number of players above/below starting points
- 2 above, 2 below > +15 / +5 / -5 / -15
- 3 above, 1 below > +15 / +5 / 0 / -20
- 1 above, 3 below > +20 / 0 / -5 / -15
- Promotions/demotions are made at the conclusion of every season
- There will be an annual championship between the 4 quarterly winners of the highest division

https://bit.ly/38V7luCEventually, the league would like to hold other tournaments, whether that be an Annual Open tournament for league members (online or maybe even in-person), or using other rulesets (akadora, uma + oka, etc) or team tournaments similar to the M-League. These though are pending the bandwidth of the league organizers.
**By registering below, you are agreeing to have your name and Tenhou handle displayed publicly for purposes of standings, player statistics, etc. In addition, you agree to have your games possibly streamed by the league with commentary which includes showing all hands in play.
