Before submitting a charter, you need to have all the following information ready.
1) CORRECTLY SPELLED First & Last Name of Sponsor. If you don't know, go to
https://www2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/schools/wjhs/staff/staff-directory/ to look it up.
2) CORRECT email address of Sponsor @
mcpsmd.org. If you don't know, go to
https://www2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/schools/wjhs/staff/staff-directory/ to look it up.
3) Room number where meetings will be held (this needs to be the NUMBER, not Mr H's room or similar). If you don't know, ask the sponsor for his/her room number.
4 Properly spelled first and last names of 4 different students to be club officers (President, VP, Secretary & Treasurer). If you can't find 4 people to join, you are not a club.
5) CORRECT email address of the club President.
NEW THIS YEAR PLEASE READ!: Each leadership role within the club MUST perform the following duties in addition to whatever responsibilities your club decides on. If your officers can not perform these duties then you can not be an official WJ organization.
Vice President - In charge of keeping an ACCURATE and up to date record of club participants' names and ID numbers. This information will be collected near the end of the year and used to award certificates so it must be correct.
Treasurer - Must attend a financial information meeting to be held in the first and 3rd quarters (you only need to attend one). Your job will be to disseminate what you learned to your club membership and ensure they know how to fundraise and how to properly request items for purchase from the school.
Secretary - Will send bi-weekly updates to Mr. M (fedor.menchukov@mcpsmd.net) about club activities and events including photos where appropriate.
Once this form is submitted, a copy will go to the named sponsor for review. You club is not approved until the sponsor electronically returns the charter to Mr. Menchukov the ECA Director.
