Lead Artists are confident and experienced creatives who will guide the artistic vision and execution of WOW projects in their communities. As a Lead Artist, you'll collaborate with community partners, mentor support artists, and create transformative artistic experiences that center women's voices and stories.
Ideally, Lead Artists will have:
• 5+ years experience painting murals
• Experience working with community centres, schools and/or not-for-profits on mural projects
• The skills to listen, empathise and make space for community members that may have different beliefs, languages, backgrounds and stories than yours.
Why register? By registering as a Lead Artist, you'll have the opportunity to lead meaningful creative projects, expand your professional network, go through our online and on-site professional development training, receive support and resources, and make a lasting impact in your community while advancing your artistic practice.
