Iowa DECA greatly appreciates the many volunteers

Ways to volunteer:

1. Serve as a judge at one of our Districts Competitions

Iowa DECA has 3 districts - District 1 Competition is November 19, 2026 at the University of Northern Iowa, District 2 Competition is November 21, 2026 at Iowa State University, and the District 3 Competition is December 1, 2026 at Simpson College.

2. Serve as a judge at our State Career Development Conference!

To make our SCDC event a success, we need a large number of volunteers to judge our students during their competition. Competition and judging will take place from 12-4:30 PM (length of time will vary based on events) on Sunday, February 7, 2027, at Southeast Polk High School. If you judge, you will be provided training on judging before arriving and upon arrival.

2. Present at one of our conferences – Fall Leadership Conference and/or State Career Development Conference!

DECA provides leadership conferences for its members to help them develop as leaders and hone the skills necessary for success in their future. If you would like to present at a conference, please reach out to the Executive Director of Iowa DECA at director@iowadeca.org 5
