Hampton Roads Chess Association (HRCA) will be onsite to help Denbigh Community Center kick off a new monthly chess meet up with a FREE beginner workshop and casual chess play!
The BEGINNER workshop is limited to 22 students and is open to mixed ages (6+). This will be tailored for participants who have no or very little chess experience to learn the basics. If you already know how to play, come join us for casual play! Boards and pieces will be provided. Please indicate whether you will be attending the workshop or joining us for casual play to ensure we have enough equipment.
HRCA is a local nonprofit organization that provides chess programming to the Seven Cities of Hampton Roads. All coaches are background checked, trained, experienced, and are certified with the US Chess Federation! Learn more about us at
