Yiddish Book Center "Coming to America" Book Club Program REGISTRATION
The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans: Goldring Family Foundation Center for Jewish-Multicultural Affairs (CJMA) is excited to partner with the New Orleans Public Library (NOPL) to present:

The Yiddish Book Center "Coming to America" Reading Groups for Public Libraries program!

The program is a four-part book club series that will center on the theme of immigration to America. Participants will read four books between December and April, and story circle sessions will be held for each of the four books. All events will be held virtually, unless circumstances change. Three of the selections are acclaimed books by notable Jewish authors, while the fourth focuses on the Latinx immigration experience --

(1) "Motl the Cantor’s Son" by Sholem Aleichem;
(2) "Enemies, A Love Story" by Isaac Bashevis Singer;
(3) "A Jewish Refugee in New York" by Kadya Molodovsky; and
(4) "Enrique's Journey" by Sonia Nazario.

A limited number of copies of these books will be available to program participants, first come first served, for FREE at the Latter Library on St. Charles Ave. (more information forthcoming).

A national kickoff event with Yiddish Book Center founder and president Aaron Lansky is scheduled for DECEMBER 8 at 3:00pm over Zoom - please register in advance by copying and pasting the following URL into your browser:
